About Us

Miqlat Ministry is a social and a faith based ministry under the umbrella of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council Women's Department. Miqlat works with girls/women at risk, girls/women that are victims of sexual exploitation and Human Trafficking.

OUR VISION

The girls and women Miqlat Ministry serves will come to the knowledge of God their Maker, enjoy a life of dignity, be equipped to nurture their families, sustain employment, and contribute meaningfully to communities.

OUR MISSION

Reach out, touch lives, embrace, transform, and restore lives in all their fullness through quality holistic healing, community reintegration, and social entrepreneurship.

FREEDOM THROUGH BUSINESS

The empowering wing of Miqlat Ministry is Freedom Through Business, where girls and women are trained in different capacities and then employed in the Miqlat Production Unit.

OUTREACH

Outreach is a very integral part of the ministry. It is through outreach that we are able to make contacts with the girls/women. We go out to places where they are and just share our lives and friendships with them.

MIQLAT Ministry

Hebrew Word Meaning "SHELTER, REFUGE"

Our mission is to transform and restore lives through quality holistic healing, community reintegration and social entrepreneurship.

Miqlat Ministry works with girls and women at risk, and girls and women who are victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

Miqlat Ministry builds trusting relationships with the individuals we serve, offering dignified alternatives and holistic wellness.

FREEDOM THOUGH BUSINESS

Miqlat Ministry firmly holds to this philosophy of empowerment.

We do not see charity as empowerment:
Miqlat Ministry staunchly believes if we are to truly free someone from slavery, then we are to economically empower that person. So the empowering wing of the Miqlat Ministry is Freedom Through Business, where girls and women are trained in different capacities and then employed in the Miqlat production unit.

Freedom through Business:
We hold to the belief that charity does not empower lives. Therefore, we depend on charity for ministry, but for empowering lives with dignity, we depend fully on business. We work hard and try to refine our products every day giving emphasis to every single detail. We don’t have a wide range of products but a few varieties we make, we give our best striving for quality and not quantity.
Each product is sewn, baked, and knitted with so much prayer, care, and hard work. As we are in the business of empowering lives for Jesus, we make sure that whoever buys any of our products will not consider it as an act of charity, but enjoy and love the product quality and appreciate their value. We also hope each buyer will feel like a proud investor in the business of building-transforming-empowering lives.

“Renew Restore, Revive” R3 is the ministry theme for 2021-2022. What a great way to start the year with such a beautiful theme that reminds us every day that He’s at work in our lives. What a blessing to retreat for a day and be inspired and challenged through His word by Ms. Visasieü Dolie, the Women secretary of NBCC. Excited and looking forward to what God is going to do even this year here at Miqlat.
